We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our
healthcare team. CNAs play a vital role in providing essential care and support to patients in
various healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. As
a CNA, you will work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver
personalized care and ensure the comfort and well-being of patients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assistance with Daily Living Activities: Provide assistance to patients with activities
of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
2. Vital Signs Monitoring: Monitor and record patients' vital signs, such as blood
pressure, pulse rate, temperature, and respiration rate, and report any abnormalities to
the nursing staff.
3. Mobility Assistance: Assist patients with mobility by helping them to move in and out of
bed, chairs, or wheelchairs, and provide support during walking or exercising as directed
by healthcare professionals.
4. Patient Hygiene: Ensure patients' personal hygiene needs are met by assisting with
oral care, skin care, hair care, and other grooming tasks.
5. Nutritional Support: Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration for patients
who require assistance, and monitor their dietary intake as directed by healthcare
providers.
6. Medical Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain medical equipment such as
blood pressure monitors, glucose meters, and wheelchair lifts, ensuring they are in
proper working condition.
7. Patient Monitoring: Keep a close watch on patients' condition and behavior, promptly
reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
8. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care activities,
including vital signs, treatments administered, and any observations, following
established protocols.
9. Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, offering
encouragement, comfort, and a listening ear to promote their well-being.
10. Infection Control: Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sanitary
environment for patients, including proper disposal of waste and cleaning of patient care
areas.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Must possess a valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
issued by an accredited institution.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in nursing or
healthcare assistance is preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare setting, such as nursing homes, hospitals,
or assisted living facilities, is desirable but not mandatory.
- Compassion: Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and patience in providing care and
support to patients, especially those with physical or cognitive impairments.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to
effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform tasks that require physical strength and
endurance, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Team Player: Capable of working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team,
following instructions and contributing to the overall patient care plan.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and
holidays, to ensure continuity of care for patients.
